Matthew 24:36,42-44; I Thessalonians 5:1-9 What should we be watching for? 1.) The Nation of Israel Israel is the centerpiece of prophecy! Deuteronomy 4:27, And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, Jeremiah 29:14, I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. Isaiah 66:8, Who has ever seen anything as strange as this? Whoever heard of such a thing? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem's birth pains begin, her children will be born. 2.) The Jews begin to come home. Isa 43:5-6, Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6 I will say to the north, Give them up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; 3.) Israel takes control of Jerusalem Luke 21:24, They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end. 4.) Israel’s Hebrew language restored. 5.) The Third Temple is being readied. 6.)
